WAEC Digital Technologies and Computer Studies
Digital Technologies is the NERDC curriculum that follows Computer Studies and ICT. Study every topic by class, with lessons you can read, watch, run and check.
Computer Studies, ICT, Digital Technologies
The same school subject area under different names. Federal officials have described ICT and Computer Studies as renamed Digital Technologies, with more weight on coding.
Classspace is not affiliated with WAEC. WAEC’s position on Digital Technologies has changed more than once, so check the current syllabus and timetable on the WAEC website before you plan revision. waecnigeria.org

How each lesson helps you revise
Every lesson follows the same four steps, so you practise, not just read.
- 01
Learn
One clear idea at a time, in plain words.
- 02
See
Watch the idea work before you write anything.
- 03
Run
Write and run real code in the browser.
- 04
Check
Answer questions on the idea and see straight away if you are right.

Questions people ask
Is Digital Technologies a WAEC subject?
WAEC’s position on Digital Technologies has changed more than once, so check the WAEC website for the current syllabus and timetable. Classspace is not affiliated with WAEC. Our lessons teach the NERDC curriculum content, which is the foundation either way.
Is Digital Technologies the same as Computer Studies or ICT?
It is the successor. Federal education officials have described ICT and Computer Studies as renamed Digital Technologies, and the NERDC curriculum puts more weight on coding and computational thinking.
Which topics does the Digital Technologies curriculum cover?
Programming and computational thinking, data and databases, web development, networks, electronics and robotics, and emerging technologies. Each unit in the curriculum list names the topic and links to its lessons.
Which classes is it for?
JSS 1 to SS 3. Units are published a few at a time, and the curriculum section shows which are live and which are still in production.
Do I need an account to try a lesson?
No. Live lessons open without an account, and progress is saved on the device until you sign in. Some extended enrichment units may sit behind a plan.
